The Ministry of Education and National Reconciliation has announced the staging of a ceremony to officially launch the Schools Improvement Project.

The project, which is being implemented by the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and the Caribbean Development Bank, aims to achieve infrastructural improvement and institutional strengthening of nine (9) schools nationwide:

• Barrouallie Anglican
• Barrouallie Government
• Kingstown Anglican
• Bequia Community High
• Girls’ High School
• St. Vincent Grammar School
• Thomas Saunders Secondary
• Sandy Bay Secondary School
• St. Clair Dacon Secondary

The ceremony will feature presentations from project coordinator, Dimitri Samuel, Vice President of the Caribbean Development Bank, Isaac Solomon, Minister of Education and National Reconciliation, Hon. Curtis King, and Prime Minister Dr. Hon. Ralph Gonsalves. It has been designed to share highlights of the project through updates from implementing partners and will also showcase representatives of project schools.  

The launching activity will take place on Tuesday, March 15,  at a project site, the Girls' High School Grounds in Richmond Hill, Kingstown, beginning at 10 in the morning. It will be broadcast live on NBC Radio and on Facebook via the page of VC3.
