The Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines officially opened the Calliaqua Town Hall building today, 3rd October.

The building was constructed by Minors Construction Ltd. at a cost of 2.5 million dollars, and carries a size of 9200 sq. ft.

According to information generated by the Seismic Research Centre, University of the West Indies, Trinidad, at 8:08 am local time today, Monday 2nd October, an earthquake occurred at Latitude 13.23 N and Longitude 61.30 W or 11.0 km NW of Kingstown, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines; 96.0 km SW of Castries, Saint Lucia; and 140.0 km NE of Saint George's, Grenada.

The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the National Lotteries Authority (NLA) and the National Sports Council (NSC) announce the Opening of the following Sporting facilities.

A number of local agencies have come together to present Vincentians with a unique experience during the month of October when Saint Vincent and the Grenadines celebrates its 38th Anniversary of Independence. The initiative is dubbed ‘Everything Vincy Independence Festival’ and will stage a range of activities from motorsports, music and merchandise over a nine-day period, from 21st to 29th October.

The National Day of Prayer Committee,  in conjunction with the Ministry of Education, National Reconciliation, and Ecclesiastical Affairs, is pleased to announce that the National Day of Prayer will be observed here on Monday 2nd October, 2017 under the theme ‘Arise and go to the Father’.
